Donating Bikes & Parts

Have a bicycle gathering dust? A bag of random components you’ve no use for? A roll of ‘just in case’ spare inner tubes in mint condition? At Sheffield Community Bike Project we will happily take any old bikes or parts donations that we’re able to make good use of. 

All donated items will find their way onto one of our refurbished bikes for sale or join our piles of usable second-hand parts, giving them a new lease of life instead of heading to landfill.

Important notes:
– we do not offer money or part-exchanges for donated items
– we can’t take all donations, especially bikes or parts in a condition too poor to be reused or refurbished
– we are typically unable to collect donations

If you have something you think we may find useful, please follow these steps:

1. Take a photo of the item(s) you want to donate that clearly show the condition and wear
2. If possible, find an online product listing page for what you want to donate – this is incredibly helpful!
3. Send the above information, including anything else we might find useful, to bikes@scbp.org.uk

Please do not just turn up at the workshop with donations before checking if we can use them – we will have to turn them away.
